2025

Format and Scoring

FedEx Cup: We will play five weeks of tournament style golf to start the 2024 season. How you finish those five weeks in the individual season rankings will determine your position in the FedEx Cup 18 hole final. The winner of the FedEx Cup final will be crowned our Individual champ.

WGC Match Play: Weeks 6-10 are going to be our weekly Match Play events. Matches will be determined mid-day the day of play to account for any last minute drop outs. Payouts will be distributed to all winning teams weekly.

Ryder Cup Final: We will draft two teams after the Match Play Events. We will then play team golf for the 18 hole Ryder Cup final. The team finishing that event with the most points will be our Ryder Cup champions.

FedEx Cup

How does it work?

  • You will play off your course handicap each night.
  • There will be weekly payouts to the top three each night, as well as the winner of the FedEx Cup final and regular season.
  • Each of the five Individual events is a 9 hole stroke play tournament.
  • This is tournament play, It’s all about beating the other guys. What you need to earn FedEx points is to get into the top seven each night.
    • You will earn points for your finishing position
      • Winner – 7
      • Second – 6
      • Third – 5
      • Fourth – 4
      • Fifth -3
      • Sixth – 2
      • Seventh – 1
      • 8th thru last will get the same amount of points – 0
  • Your total points will be divided by the weeks you played for your season average. Your points average determines your season ranking (3 weeks min).
  • The first five weeks sets us up for the 18 hole FedEx Cup final. You will start the final based on your season ranking.
    • Note: If you end up playing only 1 or 2 weeks, you will still be seeded for the final, but you will automatically be in the bottom position. You need to play 3 or more weeks for your season points average to be used for seeding. All players behind you will move up a slot.
    • If the FedEx Cup final ends in a tie, the higher ranked player will be the winner.

Most frequent questions and answers

This is unlikely based on our numbers last year, but if it happens, it would not change the scoring. If only 5 guys show, good news, you’re all getting FedEx Cup points. It pays to show up!

No. You will play from your starting position no matter who is here or not.

You may NOT play a makeup round. Please try your best to be at this event. If not, there is still weekly payouts and the Ryder Cup. You also can still win the FedEx regular season payout.

The bottom line is, I want to keep it simple. If you get up on the leaderboard, your scoring points. There is a lot more detail and reasoning behind this format. I can provide a very long explanation if you would like. After a lot of thought about many scoring ideas, this is the simple option that works best for our format. Two things to keep in mind… We have a dynamic number of players each night and we are averaging scoring across weeks played. This system makes scoring under those two circumstances very fair and simple.

The tie breaker will be total points (or weeks played if at 0). The second tie breaker will be average net score.

This will be treated as a small field event. The single needs to be better then half the field to win. If he is split on the field it is a halved match. Example… in a 1v2, the single will have to beat one player and tie the other or better to get the full point. Halved would mean the single split (win/loss) or tied both. Otherwise this is a lose for the single.
